In this exhibition we will explore the designs and functionality of feminine hygiene products. American marketing focuses heavily on aesthetic appeal in order to sell a much needed product, even though the functionality of the product is much more important. The sole purpose of these products is to discretely absorb waste and then be thrown away, so why is so much effort put into making them pretty? This exhibit will compare American products with those of Africa and China.
